The clothing industry has been one the prominent and evergrowing despite economic recessions and depressions over a longer run period. Doing laundry is connected to the same. As much as people shop clothes they gotta wash those too. Going to laundromat has been an integral part of our daily routine over the years. Weekend or weekdays it has to be done. But can you imagine doing a business out of washing and drying clothes ie. a laundromat business.

Step1: The first step is to decide if you are going to open your own laundry company or take up a franchise and run it. Franchises are easy to run as they have built customer market over years so it’s less exhausting to attract customers.

Step2: Nothing can be done without preparing a business plan. So prepare a business plan, what to do, how and when? with whom etc. Decide on your company description and scope. Compositional management and organization stuff. do a market analysis and decide on financing and strategy as well. Also open bank account after consulting with your finance guide. 

Step3: Its time to register your entity and get your paperwork done. Not all businesses are required to register with state but its never harming for registration it for taxes and more. please hire and consult with a business lawyer for these purposes. Get licenses and permits from health and water departments etc. 

Step4: Decide on location and what services are you going to offer in your laundromat. Research keeping things in mind such as market demand, water plumbing and other facilities etc. 

Step5: get equipment’s and other utilities for setting up and more. Here are some equipments and needs you might need:

  • Change machines.
  • Credit card payment system.
  • Laundry carts.
  • Oversized washing machines.
  • Security cameras.
  • Soap dispensers.
  • Vending machines.

Note: This might be expensive intially but that’s pre understandable.

Step6: Last and most productive step. Set it up and get it running. Promote it or attract customers any way you can. Don’t hesitate in reaching out people and friends cause if it gonna bring you some money its all gonna be fruitful.
